My name is Vanessa, and I’m the creator of the C*Tac back protector pad. I began riding horses at the age of six and soon got into showjumping – something I’m still passionate about and actively compete in today.

I am an Osteopath, I specialized in pediatric osteopathy and have a passion in helping people feel free and comfortable and making a difference in their lives.
However, my first love is for horses and I’m so grateful for all the amazing connections and partnerships they have given me throughout my life

My Dilemma
I always had a dilemma when riding: What back protector to use? Thin gels provided me with contact, but they were not comfortable on my back, and some horses with more challenging backs found the gel not giving enough support. When I tried thicker pads, I felt very disconnected from my horse.
So I had an idea! Making my own back pad protector, and it’s been an amazing adventure for me, outside my comfort zone, but so gratifying to see the reaction of the riders and the changes in stride in the horses almost instantly.
I am delighted and proud to share the comfort and connection that C*Tac provides for riders and their horses 🐎
